Nomos Codex
Complete technical overview of sacred Oracles, upgrade levels, and device controller bindings.
Core Simulation Rules
Sprite Economics
Strategic mass in Nomos is measured in bioluminescent "sprites". Oracles produce sprites continuously up to their physical capacities. Higher-level Oracles generate sprites at significantly faster rates. A player's total tactical strength is equal to the total sprites stationed inside their controlled Oracles.
Upgrade Paths
Every Oracle belongs to a capacity tier: Small, Medium, or Major. By spending stored sprites, you can upgrade occupied Medium and Major Oracles to expand maximum sprite storage capacity, add concentric defensive rings, and accelerate automatic sprite output.
Lanes & Comets
Launch flows to dispatch stationed sprites between connected Oracles. The flows compress sprites into massive glowing comets travelling along predefined lanes. Comets block and destroy opposing flows at a 1:1 mass ratio. Surviving comets occupy neutral destinations or capture enemy hubs.
Oracle Upgrade Levels
Oracles grow in size and visual complexity as they level up. Higher levels add concentric defensive rings and golden crown indicators.
Level 1: Basic Oracle
Base LevelThe fundamental foundation. Features a single glowing, breathing ring shroud surrounding a calm liquid core. Standard for all Oracles (Small, Medium, Major) immediately upon claim.
Level 2: Resonant Oracle
80 Sprites CostAdds a second concentric outer ring for defense and two sparse gold crown marks pointing upward. Accessible on Medium and Major Oracles. Doubles sprite production output (+2/s).
Level 3: Fortress Oracle
180 Sprites CostThe absolute zenith of sacred geometry. Adds a third outer halo and three sparse gold crown marks. Accessible ONLY on Major Oracles. Triples standard sprite production (+3/s).
Oracle Classifications
Every Oracle in the arena is mathematically tuned to fulfill a distinct tactical and defensive role within your global matrix.
Small Oracle
Cap: Level 1Tactical skirmish anchor. Cannot be upgraded. Fast and easy to occupy. Highly effective for rapid flanking networks, forward combat staging, or securing peripheral links.
Medium Oracle
Cap: Level 2Standard structural backbone. Upgradeable up to Level 2 (starts with 120 capacity, upgrades to 240). Forms the defensive core and holds key choke lanes.
Major Oracle
Cap: Level 3Fortress bastion. Upgradeable up to Level 3 (starts with 140 capacity, L2 is 280, L3 is 480). Massive capacity capable of sustaining and repelling heavy flows.
Opponent Profiles
Heuristic Presets
Our rule-based heuristic engines execute precise mathematical evaluations of the board state across five distinct difficulty personalities:
- Relaxed: Extremely patient and defensive. Focuses on peaceful expansion, upgrade accumulation (185 bias), and defensive buffer reserves (42% reserve ratio). Operates with a 1250ms reaction latency and a 5 Actions Per Minute (APM) limit.
- Standard: Balanced strategic baseline. Maintains moderate aggression (82), standard expansion (112), and active upgrades (118) with a 420ms reaction delay and 20 APM limit.
- Tactical: Highly reactive calculator. Sharp focus on counter-attacking (135 bias), punishing weak enemy configurations (120 bias), and aggressive lane choking with a 100ms reaction latency and 60 APM limit.
- Ruthless: Aggressive powerhouse. Relentless offense (170 bias), high risk tolerance (160), and very low defensive buffer reserves (25% ratio). Mounts heavy multi-front attacks with 40ms reaction delay and 100 APM limit.
- Nightmare: Hyper-accelerated combat engine. Executes near-instant moves (10ms reaction delay, 140 APM limit) with crushing aggression (185) and extreme multi-front lane pressure.
Advanced Reinforcement
The ultimate competitor. Trained through self-play reinforcement learning cycles. Backed by a high-dimensional ONNX neural policy network running at 20 ticks per second, it observes the exact same player-relative state vectors as human competitors, executing complex positional lures and lane-intercepting flows without cheat metadata.
